Garlic Confit Lox Bagel

You heard that right. If you love garlic and if you love lox bagels then this recipe is for you! You can customize this to your liking and even save your garlic confit for up to two weeks in your fridge.

  • Bagel of choice
  • Head of garlic
  • 1 cup of Chefs Life EVOO
  • Smoked salmon
  • Sprouts
  • Onion
  • Tomato
  • Cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Add one head of peeled garlic and 1 cup of Chefs Life EVOO to a stove top pot. On low heat simmer garlic for about an hour. Garlic should be mushy. Remove garlic from oil and dip bagel face side down in oil before toasting. Once bagel is toasted, smear some of the garlic before compiling your ingredients. Add your cream cheese, sprouts, smoked salmon, tomato and onions. Add salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!!
